This kit has been prepared to make a “Manteau Raglan”, or coat with raglan sleeves from a pattern in La Semaine de Suzette periodical in 1942. It includes a cut and an uncut copy of the original pattern, as well as a separate pattern for a matching dress.I.e., the dress also has raglan sleeves so they will fit into the coat.
Also included is a set of instructions in English for making the coat and the dress, separately. It includes a large piece (17” x 43”) of a wool blend fabric that would be perfect for the coat (lined or unlined). There is enough fabric to make a matching dress, or make the dress in a complimentary fabric. You could make a beret to match the coat, or even make a matching cape! 43” is a large piece of fabric when you are talking about Bleuette’s clothing. The kit also includes two sets of vintage buttons which will make your finished garment fit into the 1940s with ease.
