LARGE SIZE, RARE 5-5/8" TEXAS FOSSIL AMMONITE ,DINOSAUR AGE, CRETACEOUS-M229

This is a large size for this species, rare fossil ammonite calledElobiceras neuparthi. It is around one hundred a three million years old plus or minus five million years. It shared the world with the dinosaurs and it's species died out with them.
It comes from the Upper Albian Stage, Cretaceous Series, Washita Group, Fort Worth formation of North Texas, U.S.A.
It measures 5-5/8" wide, 5-3/8" tall, 1-1/8" thick and weighs 0.8 LBS. It has great ribs and tubercles! I have flatten the bottom for a stand! It has no repair or artificial colors.
I found, excavated, prepared and identified this ammonite and it
has all of the paleontology, stratigraphy and locality information on the aperture.
