    History of Nautilus
Nautiluses are still abundant in today's oceans.  The nautilus is a marine mollusk of the cephalopod family,
same as the squid and octopus.  The earliest nautiluses can be found in the Late Cambrian period (~500 million years ago) and grew as large as 8 feet in length.
