VINTAGE FENTON AQUA “KITTENS” CARNIVAL GLASS 4-RUFFLE BOWL – SCARCE COLOR!
(Before moving to NC, I lived in upstate NY in the same town as the man who I considered the leading Carnival Glass auctioneer in the country. One of the things that I did learn from him was that color and condition, especially when there is a lack of rarity, are of PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE. So ….. when I do purchase Carnival for re-sale, the color and condition of the piece must be exceptional. This auction is for the “KITTENS” Carnival Glass Square, Four Ruffle Bowl pictured above.
The base color is AQUA and the bowl measures 1 ½” tall, a touch under 4 ½” across the top and 1 5/8” across its base. It has a radium-like exterior surface and a satiny interior surface. It has muted interior iridescence and super pretty blue, yellow and rose iridescence.
CONDITION
:
Iridescence is missing in the center of the interior and there is a check in the base extending from a mold line into the collar base. The check is not damage; it is “as made”.
This bowl is a VERY SCARCE COLOR and if you can live with its condition, you will possess a piece that very likely only you, in your circle of friends or club will have.  It is NOT Powder Blue!
NONE OF MY PICTURES ARE “RETOUCHED” – YOU SEE EXACTLY WHAT THE CAMERA SEES!  (Any white spots are reflections and not damage.)
